SMP Test Server Spawners Feedback

Okay. I get it now. Trying to make vanilla old school spawners work without server lag. Now the "lag" is the player having to click "sword" over and over and over again on the static mob standing there IN/ON the spawner who doesn't fight back.
So in the case of slime, it's 500 max. Yeah? So I have 2 slime spawners on SMP test server I'm testing and right now I have to, as the "player" click "sword" .... oh, I don't know.... a THOUSAND times? Is this reasonable?
Here's the thing - old school days, right? Skeleton spawner example - we'd water-vater them up, oh, I don't know, 79 blocks or something and let them fall down for a one shot kill, right? Seemed fun.
This? I don't know if it seems fun.
I mean, your money spawners worked great. One click and you get it all. Here... a THOUSAND clicks to "collect".... now what are we collecting? In the case of slime... slime balls. So I'm hoping for 1000 slime balls for 1000 clicks.
Why couldn't I just get 1000 slime balls for one click? Same as the "money" sign?
