Before we begin, I have a quick note:
As with every time we do things like this, I understand a lot of people are going to be upset. I mean, there really is no easy way to say goodbye to the things we love. Our builds, our items, our claims, and even our neighbors are things that make each server unique. But as with all good things, eventually they must come to and end...

HOLY CARP! What's going on?
Ok, I guess that previous paragraph could easily confuse people. Right now we are performing a little Spring Cleaning on some of the old servers on the network. We usually do this slowly throughout the year, but with everything that happened last year we weren't able to go through our usual server retirement process.

Basically we are behind on bringing in new servers, and that's mainly because of our heavy workload. We also need to free up some resources for the development of the New Mega SMP server (link if you haven't read already: https://www.performium.net/Community/Forums/SMPServers/Post/496/mega_smp_mega-thread)

Our Normal Process
Usually when new minecraft versions come out we launch new servers. As newer versions come out, players typically abandon older servers. As this happens it leaves a lot of resources running something that nobody uses. Typically we stagger our server releases months apart, and likewise we normally stagger retirements months apart.

With that said, we have a lot of things last year that interrupted this process for us. This means we are behind, and being behind stops us from working on the new projects, so we need to make some changes.

Servers Being Retired
Due to lack of support by the community, aging worlds, and many other issues, the following servers will be retired. We are providing as much notice as we can, so if there are any items you want to transfer out you have time to do so.

The final shutdown date for these servers will be one month from today: March 22, 2023

I'm sure there are many of you that have items you'd like to keep, so we feel a months notice should be more than enough time to get that job done. We will also send out Discord notifications about these retirements, so nobody can say they didn't know.

Global Vault Discounts
We have activated heavy GV discounts based on the item transfer price. This price can be reduced more by having a club membership, and each higher tier receives higher discounts.

We understand that some players will be very unhappy, but this is something we have to do if we want to keep moving forward. I appreciate everyone's patience as we go through this, and I can't wait to release more information about our new Mega SMP server.
